Elegant Cyma with a “Tank” case, in the same style as Cartier.
Founded in 1862 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by brothers Joseph and Théodore Schwob, and later developed by watchmaker Henri-Frédéric Sandoz, the Cyma brand became a renowned watch manufacturer in the 20th century, producing quality timepieces.
In 1969, the brands Cyma, Doxa and Ernest Borel joined forces to form a joint holding company called Synchron SA. In 1973, the Auréole Watch Co. (founded in 1868 in La Chaux-de-Fonds) was acquired by this same Synchron SA group. In order to streamline costs, certain components were shared across the different brands, which explains why the caseback is signed “Auréole”.
