Helva “Tank” Cartier style with original box

Elegant Helva with a “Tank” case, in the same style as Cartier.

Founded in Brussels in 1947 by Henri Schmidt, the Helva watch brand assembled its collections using reliable Swiss movements.  Its name is a nod to Switzerland (Helvetia). Very active in the 1950’s and 1960’s with notable advertisements (such as in Le Journal de Tintin), the brand subsequently fell into decline.

Unisex-sized gold plated case.

Original crown with a blue cabochon.

The watch comes with its original Helva box.
