Rare Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 “Straight Writing” First Owner with extract of archives

Rare Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 “Straight Writing” First Owner with extract of archives

Very nice Omega Speedmaster vintage ref. 145.022-69.  I bought it from the first owner in Belgium.

This rare reference is called “Straight Writing” because of the writing “The First Watch Worn On the Moon” horizontally engraved below the Omega logo.  This reference is interesting in the Speedmaster history because it is the first model referring to the conquest of the Moon.

The original “dot next to 90” bezel has developed a dark grey patina.

Original “step” dial with tritium indexes and hands.

Plexiglass with omega logo.

Steel 1171/633 bracelet.

The watch comes with its extract of archives mentioning it was produced on June 1, 1971 and delivered to Belgium.

The movement has been fully serviced by a professional watchmaker.
