Croton Nivada Grenchen Chronograph Aviator Sea Diver Venus 210 first series

This is one of the most beautiful chronographs of the 1960’s !  Launched in 1961, it was the first watch to offer so many functions : chronograph with tachymeter scale, bidirectional bezel, broad arrow hour hand for a better readability…   Furthermore, the case was large and water resistant !

This example is highly sought after because it is the first series (also called pre-series).  Indeed, the dial is marked “Chronograph Aviator Sea Diver” while later series where marked “Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver”.  The Venus 210 caliber has only been used in the first series.

The condition of this watch is exceptional.  The case has never been polished, the bevels on the lugs are like new.  The bezel is perfect, without any scratch.  There are just some little humidity spots on the dial.  Original radium indexes and hands, not relumed, which is very rare.

The movement has been fully serviced.
