Rare Omega Speedmaster CK 2998-62 powered by the famous caliber 321. This highly sought after reference has several characteristics : case with straight lugs, small pushers, alpha hands and no “professional” mention on the dial. This is also the first Speedmaster to reach space, when astronaut Walter Schirra wore the watch during the “Sigma 7” mission of the Mercury Programme in 1962. A real grail for every Omega collector !
Original “step” dial in excellent condition, this is one of the best 2998 dials I have seen ! Indexes and hands with a nice patina.
The original “dot over 90” bezel has developed a beautiful grey patina.
The case is in very good condition, the lugs are still thick and show light bevels. The seahorse is still visible on the caseback.
Plexiglass with Omega logo.
The movement has been fully serviced approx. 2 years ago.
